In May I was invited to this really cool multi-day event that Sony puts on that they call Kando. This year was the second year it was held in Monterey, California. While I was there I was able to sit in on learning opportunities with some of the better known photographers that use Sony cameras. A couple of the sessions involved photographing people, something I don't do a lot of. I even learned about lighting and there were professional models working with us making everything easier. During that session I really felt that the models and my camera were doing most of the work once the lighting was set up.
It was a 3 day + thing and I must say that I came away from it with a deeper understanding of a lot of the photographic disciplines that I don't usually do. I met some really nice and talented people as well.
I flew out a week ahead of the Kando event to visit my daughter and her fiance, who live in California and then drove around some familiar places and some new places in California and Oregon following interesting weather when I could. I borrowed my daughters camper van and camped as much as possible.
Here are a few images from the "camping" trip
And Here are a few images taken at Kando.
